3. …USE A FRIEND. Guys- you get good at something by doing it a LOT. Guitar chords are no different. Hang around musicians as often as possible, and ask for LOTS of advice. Seriously. Do it. Now.

4. Your fingers are MUSCLES!- All muscles start out weak, and when you work out, you get stronger and faster. Same thing with learning guitar chords. You have to spend time each day “working out” your fingers. The first SEVERAL times you try to play guitar chords, your fingers will be weak- keep going!

The first thing that you’re going to need to learn are the basics about playing the guitar. Although some people may already understand these things, it is best if you review them before moving on to the next step.

Having a basic understanding of the strings, frets and finger placement are the building blocks of being able to play the guitar successfully. From there, we will move on to more advanced techniques but there are still plenty of basics to learn.
